The summit was conceived as a forum where people come together and nurture innovative ideas within the Blockchain and Crypto sectors, discussing the latest and most cutting-edge topics. From an overwhelming number of applications, approximately 60 enthusiastic individuals were chosen through a selection process. The participants brought with them diverse backgrounds, including numerous founders driving their projects, builders, and researchers, along with many others who are contributing to the growth of the ecosystem. Following each presentation, a series of thoughtful questions were raised, and discussions continued among the speakers and the participants. This event was not just an exchange of information but also an opportunity for each attendee to be inspired, gain insights, and build meaningful connections. <h2 id="h561cfd9c0b">Agenda</h2>We covered key topics within the crypto ecosystem. We received registrations from a large number of people, and about 100 carefully selected enthusiastic participants from both Japan and abroad attended. We had various discussions on a wide range of themes, centered around speakers who are working at the forefront of their fields. 60% of the participants were from overseas, and the majority of them were founders, builders, and researchers working on their own projects. With this grant, Tané will support educational efforts in Japan, particularly focusing on improvements in decentralization and usage of the Lido on Ethereum protocol, fostering community building, and contributing to further enhancement of Lido's decentralization and security. Tané has been supporting global projects for entering the Japanese market across various business areas, including investment, validator operations, and DAO governance. This collaboration is a recognition of Tané's track record and contributions thus far. In addition to supporting Lido's educational effort in Japan, Tané is also participating in Lido's DAO governance and validator operations, contributing to Lido's entire ecosystem. Introducing some of the content from the day, Oshitani from Nethermind presented on Data Availability Sampling, a crucial element for scaling Data Availability. Data Availability Sampling employs techniques similar to those used in CD data storage and restoration to reduce the actual amount of data that needs to be stored while maintaining efficiency and security. It was also mentioned that the design choices here significantly impact the decentralization and security of Ethereum and <a href="https://twitter.com/CelestiaOrg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Celestia</a> as Data Availability Layers. In a dialogue session between DeNA's trivia.tech team and our co-founder Mutobe, they shared insights on maintaining a sense of speed as a project within a large corporation. They also discussed the psychological changes in users observed in the rise of meme coins and the potential paradigm shift in game development, suggesting that retention rates may not be the primary focus. All the other sessions featured highly sophisticated presentations as well. Furthermore, the participants, mainly those actively involved in Web3, continued to engage in in-depth discussions during the networking session at the end of the event. The event provided not only cutting-edge industry knowledge but also a platform for sharing insights and learnings gained through practical engagement. It offered valuable suggestions on what initiatives can be undertaken as a player in the field, beyond simply learning about the topics. Tané Summit #0 振り返り

Today, we are excited to announce our investment in <a href="https://www.fhenix.io/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fhenix</a>, the first blockchain with Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). (This is a participation in a $7.5M funding round with Multicoin Capital as the lead investor.) Encryption of data on public blockchains has been one of the biggest challenges in blockchains. Many data, such as funds transfers, personal data, should not be made public on a blockchain. Encryption of sensitive data is essential for mass adoption of Web3. Fhenix makes sensitive data securely available on the public blockchain and provides developers with tools to compute that data for the first time. They feature fhEVM, a set of extensions for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). It allows developers to seamlessly integrate FHE into their workflow and create cryptographic smart contracts in Solidity without cryptographic expertise. (The fhEVM protocol was developed by <a href="https://www.zama.ai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Zama</a>, an open-source FHE solution provider.) Two “Guy”s founded Fhenix. <a href="https://twitter.com/GuyZys" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Guy Zyskind</a> is one of the best leading experts in the Crypto space who has been working on on-chain confidentiality for a long period. He founded Enigma and was one of the first to try on-chain crypto using MPC technology. He later founded Secret Network, which provides on-chain encryption using Intel's SGX Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). Another Guy is <a href="https://twitter.com/GuyItzh" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Guy Itzhaki</a>, former Director of Intel's FHE &amp; Blockchain division. He has decades of experience in cybersecurity and secrecy. In addition to these two, Zama, a proven FHE developer, and an FHE expert, joined Fhenix. We believe they are the best team to solve on-chain confidentiality issues. We are very excited to support Fhenix as they take on the challenge of solving a problem critical to the entire ecosystem. 私達がSeed（種）での経験が多く、Tanéにおいてもシード・アーリーステージのスタートアップやプロジェクトへの出資、事業支援にコミットしていきたいので、この名前にしました。 Tanéは、Crypto/Web3における新しい投資家の形として、金銭による出資だけでなく、エンジニアリング、事業開発、デザイン、資金調達などの具体的な「貢献」をしていきたいと考えています。 具体例を一部紹介させてもらうと、私達が投資している<a href="https://www.theculturedao.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Culture DAO</a> Disney, OculusなどのクリエイターやGenerative AIの開発者が集まり、DAO形式でGenerative AIの技術の開発、その技術を用いたコンテンツ作成に挑戦しているプロジェクトです。 クリエイターが多いため、Treasury Managementを私がプランを考え、アドバイスしたり、日本の事業開発についても連携し取り組んでいました。 その縁もあり、出資を行い、より深くコミットするようになりました。 次に<a href="https://notahotel.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">NOT A HOTEL</a> TanéのメンバーのDongriがNFTの設計、スマートコントラクトの開発を担当した。 <a href="https://tanelabs.com/team/dongri" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Dongri</a>は、LINE、Fintech系の企業で豊富な開発経験があり、過去には著名なNFTのマーケットプレイスも自分で開発している非常に頼りになる存在です。 他のメンバーは、DeNA、Twitter、SmatNews等で開発、プロダクトマネージャーとして活躍してきた<a href="https://tanelabs.com/team/takeshi" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">大石</a>、クックパッド、KibelaをはじめとしてUX、フロントエンドで実績のある<a href="https://tanelabs.com/team/dex1t" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">出口</a>が参加しています。 チームで簡単なプロトタイプを作れる体制を整え、投資先、支援先に対して力強くサポートしていきたいと思っています。 活動を開始して間もないですが、7件のプロジェクトに<a href="https://tanelabs.com/portfolio" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">投資実行</a>を行い、3件のプロジェクトに<a href="https://tanelabs.com/contribution" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">事業支援</a>を行っています。<h1 id="h89c8c2e9cc">分散化による個のエンパワーメント</h1>私は、中学生のときにNapsterを始めとするp2pのサービスに夢中になりました。これがきっかけでインターネットに興味を持ち始め、その後、仕事としても関わるようになりました。 インターネットが登場してから20年以上の時間が経ち、個人が自分の考えやコンテンツを世界中の人に共有したり、コミュニケーションをとることができます。またタクシーをスマホで呼んだり、人の家に泊まったり、食事も家にいれば届きます。 私はブロックチェーンの技術をベースにした分散化の仕組みによって、中央集権的な仕組みへの依存が減っていくと思っています。 なぜなら、分散化、パーミッションレスとの相性が良い領域(金融、コンテンツ周辺等々)はより良い方へ遅かれ早かれ、引っ張られていくはずだからです。 <img 私達は、EthereumのWeb3の説明にある「Web3は分散化されている」「Web3はパーミッションレス（誰でもアクセスできる）」「Web3にはネイティブの支払い手段がある」「Web3はトラストレス（第三者に依存しない）」というのはとても重要な概念だと思っています。 私達は、「分散化、パーミッションレスやトークンによって、より良くなる領域」こそ、意味があるのではないかと考えています。 例えば、分散化で5Gの通信ネットワークを構築した方が、大手通信会社より低コストで構築することにチャレンジしてる<a href="https://www.helium.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Helium</a>、<a href="https://www.pollenmobile.io/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pollen Mobile</a>。(Proof Of Physical Workと呼ばれる領域でTanéでも注目しています。） また、それまでユーザーがアクションしなかったことでも、トークンインセンティブをうまく組み込むことで課題解決にアクションを促すようなプロダクトを作ることができるかもしれません。 暗号通貨やウォレットは多くの人にとって難しいという声も多く聞こえてきます。これは時間の問題です。いずれは解決されます。 Account Abstractionのように秘密鍵管理の負担をへらす仕組みや携帯電話そのものをハードウェアウォレットにするSolana Mobileの開発が進んでいます。 多くの人が意識的かどうかに関わらず、こういった技術の進化、UXの改善により、自分のデータや資産を自分で管理するように分散化による方法を受け入れるようになっていくでしょう。<h1 id="hb8f8f0ad7b">種（Tané）を創る</h1><img これからそのエコシステムの土壌となる「種（Tané）」を創り、起業家と一緒に素晴らしい事業を創ることをサポートしていきます。 Tanéの活動を初めて数ヶ月で、世界の多くの起業家、builderと会うことができました。 私はテーブルの向こう側の起業家という帽子をかぶっていました。 逆側にきて気づいたのは、社会的に意義のある新しいことを作り出そうとしている人々に出会うことはそれ自体が素晴らしいことだと実感しました。 私は、Tanéという挑戦を素晴らしい仲間と一緒に行うことができて、とても嬉しいです。自分たちのすべきことを行い、起業家と一緒に挑戦し、投資家に多くのリターンを返し、楽しくやっていきます。
